- "Gay: The New Straight" — I Don't ThinK So!

The title certainly got my attention: “Gay—the new straight.” It was on an Op-Ed article written by columnist Gregory Rodriguez in the Los Angeles Times (11/5/07). Rodriguez goes on to make all kinds of melodramatic, but largely unfounded, claims about gay people.

I originally wrote this article, just after the Santana High School shooting in Santee, CA in March 2001. I thought then and still do that the press concentrating on "guns in schools" and "bullying" stories are talking about symptoms (guns) and only part of the problem (bullying).
